Activites includes - Bird watchting, fishing,Mangrove walks, waterskiing, water- sports and leisure boat trips.
Another point of interest is Kenya's archaeological heritage, the ruined and very atmospheric city of Gede - the lost city whose population inexplicably vanished in the 17th century.

Malindi is effectively a historic Swahili township and a modern holiday center offering great beaches complete with the offshore coral reefs of Malindi marine park. Round the Malindi bay there is string of resorts- mostly Italian owned hotels.
There are historic structures of interest such as the Vasco Da Gama pillar and the Portuguese church. However, the offshore and extensive Malindi Marine National Park protects some amazing coral reefs and marine life. You can enjoy the beauty of the marine park through snorkeling or glass- bottomed boat trips and scuba diving. Likewise you may visit the Marafa Depression (or Hells Kitchen) a beautiful set of eroded sandstone ridges about 30 kms from Malindi.
LamuLamu is a town, a island and an archipelago of a chain of seven islands and a multitude of islets, separated from the mainland by a channel. The mainland is fringed with dense mangrove forests, protected by reefs and lined with dunes. Through the archipelago there are numerous historical sites, visible and substantial evidence of ten centuries of a colorful, and often violent, past - most of these settlements are Arab in origin and the current Swahili culture remains intact, requiring visitors to maintain a modest sense of dress and behavior in public.
Activities in Lamu include the white sandy bathing, dhow trips to experience the islands, water sports (wind surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving) and visits to the smaller villages and museums.
